Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.


• Perform daily pre-operational safety checks of equipment.


• Maneuver heavy machinery to move earth, materials, or structures at construction sites.


• Dig trenches, level surfaces, haul materials, and perform other related tasks.


• Understand and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.


• Monitor operation of equipment and adjust controls to regulate pressure, speed, and flow as needed.


• Ensure equipment is maintained and cleaned regularly to prevent breakdowns.


• Assist with minor maintenance and repairs to heavy equipment as needed.


• Collaborate with other crew members to ensure project deadlines are met.


• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members.


• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring safety for self and others on the job site.


• Report any malfunctions, damages, or repairs needed to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.


• Certification or vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred.


• Valid driver’s license (CDL may be required depending on the type of machinery).


• Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator (3+years preferred).


• Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance procedures for heavy machinery.


• Ability to read and understand blueprints, maps, and diagrams.


• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy workloads.


• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• Will be tested in person on operating machinery

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.


• Ability to sit for long periods while operating equipment.


• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and noise.

Please-must have experience with heavy equipment in the past. Also will need a reliable vehicle, as the jobs move all around the area!
