Waste Connections, Inc. has an opening for a _high energy_ self-directed **Heavy Equipment Preventative Maintenance Technician** to join the team at our Post Oak **Landfill in Luling, TX** . Previous waste experience would be a huge _plus_ !
This will be a Monday - Friday position working 6:00AM–6:00 PM and Possible Saturdays. Plus year round OT.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Perform assigned preventative maintenance services including oil and lube changes, replacement of lamps, bulbs, replace brake shoes, perform wheel seals, Pressure washing of equipment, replace hydraulic lines and many more minor repairs to keep the equipment running and efficient.
+ Inspect electrical, hydraulics, suspension brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
+ Utilize basic vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
+ Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
