Job Description

Are you a skilled HGV2 driver with a hands-on approach and a knack for maintenance? We’re looking for a reliable and proactive HGV2 Driver & Handyman/Stores Operative to join our team, supporting vital depot operations for the local authority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive gritters and other local authority vehicles between depots

  • Carry out general maintenance and handyman duties around the depot

  • Manage stores inventory and ensure stock levels are accurate

  • Order and collect vehicle parts and supplies as required

  • Assist with depot organisation and upkeep

    • Requirements:

  • A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

  • Previous experience in a driving or stores/maintenance role preferred

  • Good organisational and record-keeping skills

  • A positive, flexible attitude and ability to work independently
