HGV Class 1 Shunter

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Wolverhampton area. We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Shunter to join the team on nights.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 19:00pm – 04:30am. Location: Wolverhampton, WV4. Pay: £17.30 per hour PAYE. Job Type: Temp/ongoing.
The role:

• Perform shunting of trailers within the yard to ensure efficient operations – please note that drivers will be required to conduct duties between two other locations close by (WV14 & WV4).
• Safely maneuver vehicles in tight and busy spaces.
• Conduct pre and post operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Coordinate with the yard and dispatch teams to maintain seamless workflow.
• Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team.
