HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Peterlee area. We are looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.   Hours: Typically, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends, 04:00am starts.  Pay Rate: Monday to Friday £16.40 per hour / Saturday £20.50 / Sunday £21.00  Location: Peterlee, SR8 Job Type: Ongoing    The role:

• Operating the SCV lorries to service nursing homes.
• Emptying 1000ltr euro bins into the truck and taking the full load to the treatment plant to empty. 
• Utilise a compaction vehicle for waste disposal.
• Perform local collections, wheeling bins to the back of the truck, and operating the bin pick-up mechanism.
• Use a PDA for tracking and recording collections.
• Depending on the volume, complete 25 to 60 collections during your shift.
• Maintain physical fitness, as the role involves some heavy lifting.
