Highway Bridge Worker 1

POSITION SUMMARY Employee performs unskilled and semi-skilled tasks and operates light to medium equipment in the construction, repair, and maintenance of county roadways and bridge systems.  Employee works as a member of a designated work crew, or alone as required.

QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent, valid Ohio driver’s license, ability to use computers and knowledge of office practices and procedures, 1 year of working experience in construction or related work, and/or equivalent combination of training and/or related work experience.  Must hold and maintain at all times a valid Class A State of Ohio Commercial Driver’s License.

Must pass a medical exam to meet physical qualifications set forth in 49 CFR 391.41, Subpart E, for holding a valid State of Ohio Commercial Driver’s License, including passing pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
