Project Description

Support clients in the operation, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle Cerner EHR environments. This role is designed for early-career professionals who are eager to grow their technical skills in healthcare IT while working under the mentorship of experienced consultants and technical leaders. You will gain hands-on exposure to Cerner infrastructure, system workflows, and healthcare technology best practices while contributing to meaningful client outcomes.


Responsibilities

Support day-to-day operational and project-based activities for Oracle Cerner clinical and revenue cycle applications (e.g., PowerChart, FirstNet, SurgiNet, PathNet, Millennium applications) under the guidance of senior consultants

Assist with application build, configuration, and maintenance, including orderables, documentation templates, clinical workflows, and rules

Participate in system analysis to understand clinical and operational workflows and translate requirements into Cerner application solutions

Support application testing activities, including unit testing, integrated testing, and regression testing, following established test scripts and validation procedures

Assist in issue investigation and troubleshooting, including workflow issues, application defects, and end-user reported concerns; escalate appropriately when needed

Support go-live, optimization, and post-go-live stabilization activities, including issue tracking and resolution support

Develop foundational knowledge of Cerner Millennium architecture, application domains, and data flows

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical, reporting, clinical, and operational stakeholders

Create and maintain application documentation, including build specifications, workflow diagrams, and status reports

Participate in regular team and client meetings to communicate application status, risks, and upcoming milestones

Ensure compliance with data security, regulatory requirements, and protected health information (PHI) standards
