Summary:
The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in maintaining the health and well-being of workers within the camp environment. This position ensures consistent delivery of high-quality nursing care, both routine and emergency, under the supervision of the camp doctor. The nurse is responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, health monitoring, and promoting a safe, hygienic living environment. By supporting medical operations and responding effectively to emergencies, the nurse contributes significantly to the overall safety and operational continuity of the camp.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to camp residents.
- Administer medications, injections, and IV therapy in accordance with medical prescriptions.
- Monitor vital signs and conduct patient assessments to identify health changes promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and implement infection control protocols.
- Support the camp doctor in daily medical operations, health screenings, and emergency response.
- Promote health awareness and enforce hygiene and safety standards across the camp.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience.
- Proven proficiency in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, and basic medical procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to administer medications, injections, and IV therapy safely and accurately.
- Competency in wound care, infection control, and emergency response, including CPR and first aid.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
