Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, or tiles to construct walls, partitions, arches, chimneys, and other masonry features.
Apply mortar or alternative bonding agents to secure masonry units with consistent, high-quality joints.
Ensure accurate alignment of structures using levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges for horizontal and vertical precision.
Prepare surfaces by measuring, marking layout lines, and setting reference points for construction.
Mix and prepare mortar, cement, or grout manually or using mechanical mixers according to specifications.
Cut, shape, and trim masonry materials using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and saws.
