Summary:

The Quality Manager is a critical leader in maintaining product integrity and operational excellence at our Jammu manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and food safety initiatives across the production lifecycle of Biscuits and Chocolate (Wafers) , ensuring strict compliance with FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate will drive a culture of continuous improvement, lead a dedicated quality team, and collaborate across departments to minimize defects, enhance process efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of safety and consistency. By leveraging data-driven insights and proactive risk management, the Quality Manager plays a key role in safeguarding brand reputation and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise QA & QC activities for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods to ensure consistent product quality
  • Ensure full compliance with FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP, and internal quality standards across all operations
  • Conduct and manage internal and external audits, oversee documentation, and ensure timely resolution of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, reduce defects, product rejections, and customer complaints
  • Partner with Production, R&D, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to align quality objectives with production and business goals
  • Train and develop the plant quality team on SOPs, hygiene protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality, process reliability, and operational consistency



Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality management within FMCG or food manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated experience in both chocolate wafers and biscuit manufacturing sectors
  • Proven track record in FSSAI, ISO 22000, and HACCP compliance, including audit readiness and management
  • Strong expertise in QA/QC systems, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in quality documentation, data analysis, and reporting tools
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a strong commitment to operational excellence
