Summary:

The Store Head plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless material flow and inventory accuracy within our manufacturing plant, supporting the production of high-quality FMCG food products across India. This position is critical to maintaining operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and upholding strict quality and compliance standards. The Store Head oversees the end-to-end management of Engineering Stores and Finished Goods, driving inventory optimization, accurate reporting, and effective coordination across departments. With a strong focus on process discipline, traceability, and continuous improvement, this role ensures that materials are available when needed, while maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the timely and accurate issuance of materials from stores to plant operations, including Engineering, Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), and Finished Goods.
  • Generate daily stock reports for RM, PM, and Engineering inventory, identifying critical items and potential shortages.
  • Ensure proper receipt and quality verification of incoming materials, coordinating Material Inspection Report (MIR) clearance with the Quality team.
  • Maintain precise material records using ERP systems and Excel, ensuring real-time accuracy in inventory booking.
  • Monitor inventory Management Information System (MIS) metrics such as FIFO/LIFO compliance, shelf life tracking, aging analysis, write-offs, and stock movement trends.
  • Proactively plan and ensure the availability of engineering spares to support uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Manage batch coding, product traceability, reconciliation of gate entries against GRNs, and conduct monthly physical stock audits.
  • Optimize material handling practices, space utilization, and asset tagging within store facilities.
  • Lead procurement activities for engineering spares and effectively manage store team performance and deployment.




Requirements

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Store or Inventory Management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in managing Engineering Stores, Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), and Finished Goods.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control, audit execution, and generation of MIS reports.
  • Proficient in ERP/SAP systems and advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and cross-functional coordination skills with a proven ability to manage plant-level operations.
