Job Description: Truck Driver


Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Truck Driver to safely and efficiently operate commercial trucks for the transportation of goods between various locations according to schedules and delivery instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safety First:
  • Prioritize the safety of self, other drivers, pedestrians, and cargo at all times.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tires, lights, and brakes.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
  • Practice defensive driving techniques to avoid accidents.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies (e.g., accidents, breakdowns).
  • Transportation:
  • Load and unload cargo securely and efficiently.
  • Plan and execute routes efficiently, considering traffic and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to designated locations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Documentation:
  • Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and on time (e.g., bills of lading, delivery receipts).
  • Communicate any delays or issues to dispatch or supervisors promptly.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks as required.
  • Report any vehicle maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of heavy vehicle driving license.
  • Valid driving license to work in Germany.
  • Good English communication skills are mandatory.
