Job Description: Truck Driver
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Truck Driver to safely and efficiently operate commercial trucks for the transportation of goods between various locations according to schedules and delivery instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safety First:
- Prioritize the safety of self, other drivers, pedestrians, and cargo at all times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tires, lights, and brakes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to avoid accidents.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies (e.g., accidents, breakdowns).
- Transportation:
- Load and unload cargo securely and efficiently.
- Plan and execute routes efficiently, considering traffic and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Documentation:
- Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and on time (e.g., bills of lading, delivery receipts).
- Communicate any delays or issues to dispatch or supervisors promptly.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks as required.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- 3+ years of heavy vehicle driving license.
- Valid driving license to work in Germany.
- Good English communication skills are mandatory.
