Job Title: Histology Technician
Location: New York, NY 10065
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | Monday–Friday | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
(30-minute break included)
Pay Rate: $45 – $47 per hour


Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Histology Technician for an exciting job in New York, NY.


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform histology techniques for small biopsies and routine surgical specimens




  • Process dermatology and renal specimens under appropriate supervision




  • Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination




  • Adhere to laboratory protocols, safety standards, and quality control procedures




  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation per regulatory requirements




  • Collaborate closely with Pathology Assistants and Supervisors to ensure timely specimen processing




Required Qualifications

Experience:




  • 2–5 years of hands-on histology experience




  • Proven experience with small biopsies, dermatology, renal, and routine specimens




Education (Required):




  • Associate of Science degree with completion of an approved Histology-accredited program
    OR




  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience




Licensure / Certification (Required):




  • New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
    OR




  • Certified Histology Technician (HT)
    OR




  • Clinical Laboratory Technologist certification from the NYS Education Department
