The primary purpose of this position is: To function as a Senior Historian for the Command Historian. Responsibilities Performs professional historian duties including research, analysis, and presentation of findings of historical studies concerned with complex, broad, and varied subject matters that require a substantial number of considerations. Assists the Command Historian in the development of plans and policies for, and management and direction of, the Major Command History Program including serving as functional manager for subordinate wing history offices in the Major Command. Provides oversight, assists in functional program planning, and develops all types of historical outreach displays and projects and provides oversight on heritage programs and aviation museums as required by the Command Historian.
