Job Title: Hostel Coordinator

Job Description:

The hostel coordinator oversees the daily operations of a hostel, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for residents. This role involves managing student, enforcing rules, handling resident issues, and maintaining the hostel's facilities. 


Key Responsibilities:




  • Help to create a positive and safe environment for students living on campus.

  • Represent the facilities team in the hostels, responding to and managing maintenance issues.

  • Liaise between hotel-dedicated security and the campus facilities management.

  • Be the “go to” person regarding hostel residence for students.

  • Provide feedback to, and escalate student-related matters to the Dean of Students, where necessary.

  • Have the maturity to maintain discipline and order in the hostels, in the event that students act beyond the limits laid out in the hostel contracts that they sign.

  • Alert and liaise with the nurse in event of emergencies.

  • Monitor the flow of students and control the flow of visitors and overnight visitors.


  • A minimum of HND or Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Strong verbal communication skills in English (and local languages, if applicable).

  • Customer service orientation with a positive and professional attitude.

  • Computer literate and knowledge of the use of google tools is desire.

  • Bilingual applicants (English and French) will have an added advantage.
