The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in a hotel restaurant or dining outlet. She/He is responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth, welcoming dining experience that reflects the hotel’s service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner
  • Manage table reservations and walk-in guests efficiently
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus
  • Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth table turnover
  • Maintain accurate guest lists and reservation records
  • Answer guest inquiries regarding menu items, dining times, and facilities
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints politely and inform management when needed
