The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in a hotel restaurant or dining outlet. She/He is responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth, welcoming dining experience that reflects the hotel’s service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Manage table reservations and walk-in guests efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth table turnover
- Maintain accurate guest lists and reservation records
- Answer guest inquiries regarding menu items, dining times, and facilities
