It hosts MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is a founding and hosting member of former PRACE and current EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. Context and Mission BSC coordinates the Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES) and the EuroHPC Virtual Training Academy (EVITA). We are looking for a webmaster and web applications developer to join the Infrastructure Access Policy team within Operations and work on development, maintenance and improvement of the RES web site, RES intranet and HPC in Europe portal training module. Key Duties Development, maintenance and improvements of the RES web page. Development, maintenance and improvements of the training module of the HPC in Europe portal. Development and maintenance of front‑end components to enhance user interactivity and experience. Debugging and performance optimisation of existing PHP and JavaScript code to ensure responsive and scalable applications. Documentation of codebase and technical procedures to ensure maintainability and facilitate collaboration with other developers or support teams. Qualifications Education Degree in Computer Science for web applications development or similar knowledge. Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience Experience with CMS DRUPAL 10. Experience with SQL, PHP, HTML. Experience analysing requirements, designing, and deploying complex web applications focused on business‑management solutions. Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience Experience working in LAMP environments. Knowledge of web accessibility standards. Knowledge in Responsive Development best practices. Experience with version control systems such as GIT. Good level in English, both written and spoken. Competences Capacity to organise own agenda and work plans. Proactive attitude and good communication skills. Travel availability in Europe to attend relevant events. Ability to work independently or in teams when required. Conditions Location: BSC within the Operations Department. Contract: full‑time (37.5h/week), open‑ended, with flexible hours and extensive training plan. Benefits: restaurant tickets, private health insurance, relocation support. Holiday entitlement: 22 days of holidays 6 personal days 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement. Salary: competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience and adjusted to cost of living in Barcelona. Starting date: as soon as possible. Recruitment Process Curriculum Analysis: 40 points. Interview phase: 60 points, with a minimum of 30 points required to proceed.
