Talent Acquisition Oversee and ensure timely fulfillment of Chennai-based positions, maintaining accountability for meeting hiring targets and quality standards. Partner with external agencies to source and attract qualified candidates. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and guide effective sourcing strategies. Maintain visibility into candidate pipelines and leverage employer branding to support talent attraction. Monitor and report on recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, source-of-hire, and offer-to-join ratios, through a monthly dashboard in HRIS. Drive continuous improvement in recruitment processes to ensure a strong pipeline of high-quality candidates. Employee Relations & Compliance Adhere to all company and department policies and procedures to maintain the companys HITRUST certification and successfully pass internal and external audits. Advise managers on employee relations cases, performance improvement plans, and corrective actions. Handle investigations and corrective actions with fairness and consistency. Stay current with Shops & Establishments Act, POSH, PF, gratuity, and other statutory requirements to ensure compliance. Manager & Employee Advisory Provide guidance to managers on team dynamics, career development, and conflict resolution. Coach employees and managers to build leadership capability and foster a high-performance culture. Manage and develop the local HR team, including but not limited to the HR Assistant, Tech Recruiter, and Office Administrator, ensuring alignment with HR goals and operational excellence. Engagement & Culture Lead employee engagement initiatives, including feedback sessions, and culture-building activities. Partner with leadership to strengthen employee experience and promote inclusion and collaboration. Foster and reinforce SDS values within the Chennai office, ensuring they are embedded in daily practices and team interactions. Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Manage local payroll processes and statutory benefits (PF, ESI, gratuity). Liaise with vendors for benefits administration and ensure timely audits. Support global C&B philosophy while addressing Chennai-specific requirements. Learning & Development Assist with designing and delivering structured training programs for managers and employees. Coordinate HR and compliance training and support career development initiatives. HR Operations & Continuous Improvement Maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely HRIS updates. Coordinate background verification and other administrative processes. Champion adoption of technology and innovative HR practices to enhance employee experience and process improvement. Analyze HR data to identify trends and support decision-making. Global HR Collaboration Act as the India HR lead ensuring global strategies are tailored to local context while influencing global policy with India-specific insights. Partner with global HR teams to implement initiatives and drive change management effectively. Requirements Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certification preferred). 58 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 23 years in a generalist or HRBP role. Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment and working with hiring managers to meet talent needs. Experience working in a global or matrixed organization is a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR compliance requirements. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across levels. Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis tools; ability to interpret HR metrics and make data-driven decisions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in conflict resolution, coaching, and employee engagement strategies. Comfortable working across cultures and time zones; experience collaborating with global HR teams is highly valued.
