Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HSE Permit Holder to join our team in Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all permit-to-work systems to ensure safe operations in oil and gas facilities. This role requires a thorough understanding of HSE regulations and procedures specific to the Omani oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review, approve, and monitor all permit-to-work applications for various hazardous activities
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure all necessary safety precautions are in place before work commencement
• Verify that all personnel involved in hazardous operations have appropriate training and certifications
• Maintain accurate records of all permits issued, suspended, or closed
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with permit conditions
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and contractor teams to ensure safe work execution
• Investigate incidents related to permit-to-work system failures and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with Omani HSE regulations and company safety standards
• Provide HSE guidance and support to operational teams
• Participate in emergency response activities as required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Permit Holder in the oil and gas industry
• Omani nationality is mandatory
• Valid certification in permit-to-work systems and HSE management
• Thorough knowledge of Omani HSE regulations and international safety standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure in challenging environments
