Job Title: HR & Administrative Officer – Plant Operations (Angul, Odisha)

About the Company:

SOVA SOLAR is in the field of renewable energy since 2008, having an established unit in Durgapur, West Bengal. Now we are a establishing a solar cell manufacturing unit located in Angul, Odisha , preparing for full-scale operations. Our focus is on building a strong foundation in compliance, workforce management, and operational excellence. We are looking for a proactive and experienced HR & Administrative Officer to lead the setup of all HR, legal, and statutory functions from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

HR & Compliance Setup:

  • Set up HR systems, documentation, and processes for the new plant.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and factory acts .
  • Handle registration and liaisoning with local authorities (PF, ESI, Labour Department, Factory License, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain employee records, contracts, and attendance systems.
  • Maintaining good working environment.

Recruitment & Workforce Management:

  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of staff, technicians, and labour workforce.
  • Establish policies for contract labour and manpower contractors.
  • Manage daily labour attendance, payroll inputs, and discipline.
  • Precautionary measures regarding manpower recruitment & training.

Administration & Coordination:

  • Manage administrative functions like security, housekeeping, and canteen operations.
  • Liaise with local government and statutory bodies for plant operations.
  • Support management in implementing HR policies, grievance handling, and employee engagement.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate experienced candidates in HR, Labour Welfare, Industrial Relations or administrative background are welcome.
  • 2–10 years of experience in HR & admin roles, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment .
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, and HR documentation.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle large workforce operations.
  • Fluency in Hindi, and Odia preferred, English and Bengali will be a plus.
