Role Title - Business HR


Role Purpose :

The HRBP acts as a strategic partner to business leaders, ensuring that HR initiatives align with operational goals. In logistics, the HRBP drives workforce planning, employee engage-ment, performance management, and compliance, supporting the business in achieving effi-ciency, productivity, and growth. In essence: Ensure that the organization has a capable, motivated, and compliant workforce to meet operational and strategic objectives.


Key Accountability Area


1.Strategic Partner

Collaborate with business leaders to understand business goals and challenges.

Translate business objectives into HR strategies and workforce plans.

Provide insights and recommendations on organizational design, talent management, and productivity.


2. Talent Management

Identify critical roles and skill gaps in the business unit.

Support succession planning and career pathing for key positions.

Advise managers on talent development, performance improvement, and retention strategies.


3. Performance & Productivity

Partner with managers to define KPIs and performance metrics for teams.

Monitor employee performance and engagement, identifying areas for improvement.

Coach managers on performance feedback, appraisal processes, and rewards.


4. Employee Relations & Engagement

Act as the first point of contact for HR-related issues within the business unit.

Address employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary matters.

Design and implement employee engagement programs to boost morale and retention.


5. Change Management

Support business leaders in organizational changes, restructures, or process improvements.

Act as a change agent, helping employees adapt to new systems, policies, or roles.

Drive communication and adoption strategies during transformations.


6. HR Analytics & Decision Support

Analyse HR metrics like attrition, headcount, training ROI, and workforce productivity.

Provide data-driven insights to support business decisions.

Identify trends or issues and recommend proactive interventions.


7. Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure adherence to labour laws, policies, and safety regulations within the business unit.

Support managers in risk mitigation related to HR practices, safety, or labour disputes.

Qualification A master’s degree in HR


Work Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience into Business HR/ HRBP role (For experienced) Strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain processes.

Knowledge of labour laws, safety regulations, and compliance.

Analytical mindset for workforce planning, attrition analysis, and performance metrics.

Change management skills to implement process improvements in a fast-moving environment.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
