Base pay range
CA$70,000.00/yr - CA$85,000.00/yr
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000/year, based on experience + 3 weeks vacation + parking + group insurance + PTO + more.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands‑on, organized, and people‑focused HR Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day HR operations in a stable and rapidly growing manufacturing environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being close to the floor, solving problems in real time, and supporting employees and managers daily.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers on all HR‑related questions
- Oversee the daily activities of the HR team (HR Generalist & HR Technician)
- Manage attendance, scheduling changes, employee files, and HR documentation
- Handle employee relations: investigations, disciplinary actions, coaching, and conflict resolution
- Manage CNESST, health & safety follow‑ups, work accidents, and disability claims
- Support full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding for plant and office roles
- Coordinate training, performance check‑ins, and employee engagement activities
- Ensure compliance with policies, labor standards, and company procedures
- Maintain HR systems and reports (ADP), including timesheets, data updates, and reporting
- Collaborate with plant leadership on day‑to‑day operational needs and workforce planning
What You Bring
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or Industrial Relations
- Strong employee relations background with solid judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Excel and ADP (or similar software)
- CRHA designation is an asset
