    The Building People, LLC, is seeking a candidate to perform human resources administrative work for the Department of Energy's Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE) office. The Human Resources Assistant will perform human resources-related administrative work both under general supervision and independently. 


    Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: 

  • Supporting human resources (HR) functions such as: recruitment, classification review, compensation studies, employment analysis, and leave and benefits administration. 
  • Collecting and analyzing data. 
  • Tracking trends and developments in assigned functional areas. 
  • Conducting studies, perform research, and prepare reports. 
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and recommending policies. 
  • Participating in working groups, councils, and committees. 
  • Ensuring compliance with DOE HR-related rules and regulations.
  • Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from in an accredited university and 8 years of experience OR high school diploma and 12 years of experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2010 or better 
  • Professional attitude 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to competently deal with rapidly changing priorities and requirements 
  • Ability to perform sensitive tasks that require discretion and tact
  • Required Education

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree from in an accredited university and 8 years of experience OR high school diploma and 12 years of experience
  • Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
