As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our properties operate at the highest standards, delivering an experience that exceeds guest expectations through excellence in property maintenance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the maintenance team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate and oversee repairs and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ensure all areas of the property are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and presentation.
- Proactively respond to guest enquiries and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner to enhance guest satisfaction and comfort.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans aligned with property objectives and hotel performance targets.
- Establish and manage an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program, addressing maintenance, environmental, and conservation requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, WHS requirements, and building regulations, with proper documentation for internal and external audits.
- Perform follow-up actions as required to address audit findings and operational improvements.
- Maintain flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as operationally required.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ hands-on supervisory experience within the hospitality industry.
- Recognised trade qualifications (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent) with current and relevant licenses.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
- Sound understanding of Work Health & Safety (WHS) compliance and building regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, take initiative, and manage multiple projects while maintaining an effective preventative maintenance schedule.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting, documentation, and scheduling.
