Job Description

For Hydraulic Engineer, Water Resources Engineer to develop accurate flood operation models for a leading environmental authority. A Contract Full Time position within a dynamic and impactful organization.

  • Requires: Experience in 1D hydraulic modelling and rating tables.
  • Salary guide: $100 - $150 per hour.
  • Location: Canberra Region.

Your normal day will involve:

  • Developing detailed 1D hydraulic models for specified gauging stations.
  • Calibrating and validating models using streamflow and water level data.
  • Verifying existing rating tables and theoretically extending these tables.
  • Delivering comprehensive reports that outline validation and performance metrics.
  • Managing data handling to meet Murray-Darling Basin Authority standards.
  • Engaging in regular meetings with customers to discuss progress and deliverables.
