IBM API Engineer

Ability to configure and modify API YAML code.

Familiarity with IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower products.

Deploy APIs using pre-existing pipeline tools, including Jenkins.

Ability to understand and implement DataPower routing and proxy gateway rules in a complex environment for internal and external communication.

Understanding of SOAP/Rest/API concepts, CI/CD concepts.

Nice to have:

Integrate internally developed components (API's, web services, IIB broker services, IBM MQ and IBM Data Power artifacts).

Strong understanding of Middleware command line tools in AIX, Linux, Windows platforms

Hands-on experience with IBM MQ, IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM WebSphere Application Server, Jira, Jenkins.

Experience with Shell and Python scripting languages to improve automation of deployment process
