Job Title: IBM Datacap Engineer

Required Skillset:

• IBM Datacap Expertise : Strong experience with IBM Datacap versions (e.g., 9.1.x, 8.1).
• Scripting : Proficiency in VB.net,C#, or other scripting languages for rule and action development.
• ECM Knowledge : Good understanding of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) principles and platforms, especially IBM FileNet P8.
• OCR/ICR : Experience with data recognition engines to ensure accurate information extraction.
• Workflow Design : Ability to design and implement efficient document capture, classification, and validation workflows.
• Datacap Tools : Familiarity with core Datacap components and tools like Datacap Studio, Rulerunner, and Datacap Navigator.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:

• Design and Development : Design and develop document capture and data extraction workflows within IBM Datacap, including Datacap Studio, FastDoc, and Datacap Navigator.
• Configuration : Configure and deploy Datacap components, including task profiles, rulesets, and the Rulerunner engine.
• Customization : Develop custom rules and actions using VB.net,C#, and other scripting languages to extend Datacap functionality.
• Integration : Integrate Datacap solutions with other systems, particularly IBM FileNet P8, and databases like SQL Server,DB2,Oracle.
• Optimization : Configure and optimize OCR/ICR (Optical Character Recognition/Intelligent Character Recognition) engines (e.g., ABBYY, Nuance) for accurate data extraction.
• Troubleshooting & Support : Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot application issues, and ensure the seamless functionality of Datacap environments.
• Collaboration : Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective document capture solutions.
