IBM Datapower Develper

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design and Development: Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM DataPower.

API and SOA Development: Develop and manage RESTful APIs and SOAP web services, including complex transformations and routing, using both ACE and DataPower.

Security Implementation: Implement security measures on the DataPower Gateway, such as OAuth, SSL/TLS, WS-Security, and AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Auditing) policies.

Middleware Integration: Create, debug, and maintain message flows in ACE using ESQL, Java, Compute Nodes, Mapping Nodes, and other standard components.

Data Transformation: Utilize XSLT for data transformation (XML to JSON, JSON to XML, etc.) within DataPower processing rules.

Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to ACE message flows and DataPower configurations in development and production environments.

Deployment Automation: Automate build and deployment processes using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and other scripting tools.

Mentorship and Leadership: Guide junior developers and provide technical expertise on ACE and DataPower best practices and architectural decisions.

Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment procedures, and support guides.

Performance Tuning: Optimize integration solutions for performance, availability, and reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: 6+ years of experience in middleware development, with significant hands-on experience in both IBM ACE (or its predecessor, IIB) and IBM DataPower.

Technical Proficiency:

Expertise in IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) / IBM Integration Bus (IIB) development.

Expertise in IBM DataPower Gateway for security, integration, and API management.

Strong knowledge of API Connect (APIC) for API lifecycle management.

In-depth knowledge of ESQL, Java, XML, JSON, and XSLT.

Experience with message-oriented middleware IBM MQ, Https, File Transfers.

Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and web services development.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools BitBucket and Bamboo and Agile methodologies are must.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to create innovative solutions.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Certifications: IBM certifications in ACE or DataPower are a plus.
