Overview
Our Government client's application is an integrated system that is supported by both client server and web applications written in Power Builder, , , COBOL, DB, CICS, and SQL Server. The CLIENT application has over internal users, , portal accounts, many external customers, and interfaces with local, State and Federal agencies. The core application runs on System Z with multiple CICS and DB environments secured by RACF. The core application is COBOL/DB programs that run both in batch and CICS environments.
The consultant will be working on the following but not limited to:Administer DB database and subsystems. Monitor storage, support capacity planning, support securing ZOS resources, perform routine maintenance tasks, assist with data migration tasks, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
