Job Description

Our client is an international technology company specializing in high-speed optical communication systems. They develop advanced gigabit and multi-gigabit transceiver solutions for industrial, automotive, and home-networking applications. Their engineering teams work across the full semiconductor design cycle, leveraging cutting-edge CMOS nodes and mixed-signal integration techniques to deliver robust, high-performance connectivity products. The company operates in a highly innovative environment, continually researching new architectures and driving next-generation communication interfaces.

Mission

The Analog IC Designer will contribute to the definition, design, verification, and integration of analog and mixed-signal circuits central to high-speed optical transceiver systems. The mission of this role is to ensure the creation of high-performance AMS IP blocks that meet stringent system requirements, support seamless integration with digital logic, and enable reliable silicon validation. This position has a direct technical impact on the performance and scalability of the company’s next-generation communication products.

Responsibilities
  • Define specifications for analog and mixed‑signal blocks including ADCs, DACs, PLLs, data interfaces, and optoelectronic modules.
  • Contribute to system‑level analyses to ensure correct block‑level functionality and interface consistency.
  • Execute transistor‑level design in advanced CMOS nodes (65 nm / 28 nm and below) from schematic to extracted‑level verification.
  • Perform simulations across corners, conditions, and parasitics to guarantee robustness and compliance with system targets.
  • Layout Collaboration
    • Provide layout guidelines for full‑custom blocks and review layout work for adherence to performance, matching, and reliability requirements.
  • Laboratory Support & Silicon Validation
    • Collaborate with test engineers to define test procedures for fabricated ICs.
    • Analyze lab characterization data and correlate measurements with simulation results.
  • Modeling & Mixed‑Signal Integration
    • Develop behavioral models for system‑level evaluation of analog and mixed‑signal blocks.
    • Support AMS integration and mixed‑signal verification within digital processing environments.
  • Research new architectures and propose efficient design solutions for future products.
  • Participate in patent development and internal technical documentation.
  • Present progress and design results in internal meetings.
Required Qualifications
  • MSc or PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in analog and mixed‑signal IC design with advanced CMOS technologies.
  • Proven experience in schematic design, extracted‑level verification, and AMS design methodologies.
  • Strong command of EDA tools such as Cadence or Synopsys for full‑custom analog design.
  • Solid understanding of analog layout techniques and ability to review physical implementations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience delivering successful silicon products including characterization and productization.
  • Experience designing full‑custom analog IP in sub‑nanometric CMOS nodes.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for mixed‑signal verification and system‑level integration.
  • Strong analytical mindset, organized work style, and motivation to integrate into a dynamic engineering environment.
