Job Description
The IC Digital Design Engineer is responsible for the design, review, and evaluation of the test results and documentation of digital IC module(s). He/she supports the creation of the digital IC test specifications, defines the acceptance criteria for the digital IC test cases, and ensures the testability of the module in the product.

The IC Digital Design Engineer in his main working area, Design
- Is responsible for the design, simulation, and testing of the digital part of the ASIC under development.
- Works very closely with stakeholders to define the detailed digital architecture.
- Support all phases of development from a digital design perspective—from early definition on through specification, architecture, layout, and production.
- If needed, works with other groups to produce an FPGA test platform to test, develop and optimize the full system
- Contribute to the execution of digital blocks beyond the state-of-the-art implementation. Looks for advances in performance, power consumption and form factor
- Assess and recommend emerging technologies through close partnership with external, industry-leading suppliers
- Employ the scientific method to debug, diagnose and drive the resolution of complex, cross-disciplinary system issues
- Evaluates architectural tradeoffs in speed, performance, power, area
He is responsible for
- Assure and document compliance to design guidelines
- Confirm the digital architecture choices and key specifications with simulations
- Ensure the testability of the digital modules.
- Tests the digital circuits on the bench in the lab and supports debugging of tests/applications.
- Decide on module implementation, taking into account design rules and project requirements in alignment with the team
