Job Summary

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for delivering technical support, troubleshooting, and solutions for the organization’s cloud-based infrastructure and services. The role involves close collaboration with application, security, and other internal teams, as well as external vendors, to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud platforms, Landing Zone concepts, infrastructure, and a proven ability to support and manage cloud-based services effectively.

Key Responsibilities

a. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-based infrastructure and services, including compute, storage, networking, and security components.

b. Collaborate with application, security, and cross-functional internal teams to resolve complex cloud-related issues.

c. Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of cloud services, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.

d. Drive continuous improvement and optimization of cloud infrastructure and services through automation, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.

e. Implement and manage cloud security controls, compliance requirements, and best practices to safeguard cloud resources and data.

f. Develop and maintain documentation, best practices, and standard operating procedures for cloud infrastructure and services.

g. Participate in planning, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions to ensure alignment with business requirements and industry standards.

h. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to cloud architecture, deployment, and operations.

What We Are Looking For

i. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

j. Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with strong understanding of cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and best practices.

k. Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including cloud-native services, infrastructure components, and networking.

l. Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform; familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.

m. Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance standards, and best practices for protecting cloud resources and data.

Preferred Qualifications

o. More than 8 years of experience as an ICT Engineer (Cloud) / Cloud Support Engineer.

p. Experience working in both Linux and Windows operating environments.
