That’s why we create videos that are culturally appropriate, gospel-centered and useful to church planters using digital disciple-making strategies.

Illustrator with TWR MOTION: Cary, NC (USA)

The TWR MOTION team is looking for a missionary to serve as an Illustrator to assist in completing projects and creating content for our church planting partners.

Why we need you:

Illustrations are the foundation of our animated videos. And it’s crucial that these visuals resonate with the cultural context, allowing viewers to engage with God’s story in a way they understand. 

As an illustrator, you will create digital illustrations for the animated videos we produce. You will report to the art director and work closely with a small team of illustrators and animators. Our illustrators work in Adobe Photoshop, drawing scenes on various layers for animation.

Responsibilities:

Illustrating digitally using Adobe Photoshop.

Collaborating with the art team to create concepts, designs, and illustrations for our animated videos.

Researching and integrating artistic styles that resonate with the cultural preferences of the audience.

Staying updated on industry trends and adapt to new applications as necessary.

Requirements:

A commitment to Jesus Christ, demonstrated through a personal relationship.

Enthusiasm for full-time missionary work, including building a support network of prayer and financial partners.

Bachelor’s degree or certification in fine arts, graphic design, or related field or equivalent professional experience.

Strong conceptual and artistic abilities.

Flexibility to adjust artistic style to suit project requirements.

Proficiency in digital drawing using a tablet.

Team player with the capacity to work independently.

The ability to learn quickly and have a high level of motivation.

Humility, adaptability, and cultural awareness. (We work a lot with people in other cultures!)

The capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Bonus skills (not required):

Experience in illustration for animation.

Cross-cultural experience.

Availability to work from our office in Cary, North Carolina.
