The Imaging Assistant supports patient and procedural workflows in the Diagnostic Imaging department throughout their shift. This role contributes to both direct and indirect patient care by assisting technical and nursing staff—preparing patients, supporting transfers, facilitating patient flow, and maintaining exam rooms and supplies. The Imaging Assistant ensures safe, efficient, and patient-centered service while collaborating closely with technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare staff. 

This is what You’ll Be Doing:

Patient Support & Workflow 

  • Monitor sub-waiting and stretcher holding areas, ensuring patients are in the correct queue and properly prepared for imaging. 
  • Provide exam preparation instructions when required and keep patients updated on expected wait times 
  • Assist technologists and sonographers during specific procedures
