We are excited to announce an exciting opportunity for a Research Software Engineer (RSE) as part of the research team of Imago, the Imagery Data Service. Imago is one of a set of new data services funded by ESRC’s Smart Data Research UK (SDR-UK) programme. The Imago data service is a collaborative effort led by the University of Liverpool, Newcastle University, and Harvard University, and aims to make satellite imagery more useful, useable and used across social research and policy. Imago is developing data products in collaboration with data, distribution, and application partners that will unlock the potential of satellite imagery to solve some of the most urgent challenges facing the UK – especially where environmental vulnerability, urban development and housing, and health and wellbeing is concerned.
