Industrial Manufacturing Associate
Must be able to pass an aptitude test to be considered
Location: Columbus
Shift/Pay: 12 hours rotating schedule including every other weekend
1st Shift 6am-6:30pm $15.60
2nd Shift 6pm-6:30am $16.10
Positions: Machine Operator, Cast Operator, Paint Operator, Final Inspection
Responsibilities for Machine Operator:
Handle wheels
% visual inspect using inspection sheet
Deburr all sharp edges
Remove all chips from wheel
Check plate and pin according to line and wheel model
Checks cap and pilot %
Complete all dimensional audits and SPC checks on an by the required times
Make minor offsets to machines
Lift wheels to skids
Tag all skids correctly
Brush deburring, balancing, inspecting wheels, keeping wheels processed in a smooth flow downstream to the next process.
Must be able to work as a team to keep production line moving in a constant flow.
Responsibilities for Cast Operator:
Communication skills – ability to read, write (clearly), and communicate
Safety – Understand and promote safety requirements to job and Enkei overall safety policies
Inspection – Ability to visually locate defects on product
Quality – Aptitude for associated work instructions, documents and related systems
Productivity – Physically capable of completing daily job assignments (include lifting as much as 90lbs, hot environment, bending, squatting, traversing up and down stairs, ladders, etc.,) at the required pace to meet production targets.
Assist in mold removal/installation as needed.
Assist in preventative maintenance cleaning
Competent in making necessary equipment adjustments as required (casting machine, saws, mold conditions (blast, die coat, preheat, etc.).
Robot knowledge may be trained and required on certain machines.
Attentive to noise changes, visual management of surroundings (monitors, temperature gages, mold movement, equipment movement, abnormal system
Responsibilities for Paint Operator:
Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including every other weekend
Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment
Load and install valve plugs into wheels and on to conveyors
Scan and inspect wheels for defects.
Offload wheels from conveyors to pallets.
Install masking into wheels before powder application
Cleans area as needed as instructed by Supervisor or Shift Assistant
Responsibilities for Final Inspection Operator:
Regular attendance and presence at work as scheduled.
Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including every other weekend
Load and unload wheel on/off various conveyor lines
Visually inspect wheel for surface imperfections (approximately 60 potential defects)
Check face, exterior and interior diameters
Deburr wheel as necessary
Move good parts down production line; non-conforming parts onto fallout line
Document casting information; non-conforming information on all rejects parts
Parts that are non-conforming are placed on a pallet, tagged properly and inputted into computer data base for documentation (cast code, date, mold, and defect code)
Buffing rework can be performed immediately
Final wheels are placed on pallets or container as specified by documented work instructions for transfer to warehouse
