We are currently seeking a Industry Consulting Manager to join our team in Gurugaon, Haryāna (IN-HR), India (IN).

Role Overview

The Construction & Data Modeling Specialist plays a key role in building a high‑quality, standardized digital machine and equipment library for the factorymaker Virtual Factory platform.
The focus of the role is not classical CAD design, but the preparation, structuring, simplification, and metadata enrichment of machine, equipment, and layout models for digital factory planning, optimization, analysis, and scenario evaluation.

The outputs will be used directly for automatic layout generation, variant comparisons, load and area analyses, and other digital factory workflows.

Key Responsibilities

1. Geometric Preparation

  • Clean and preprocess CAD models by removing irrelevant details (e.g., small elements, screws, cables).
  • Simplify geometry for optimal 3D performance.
  • Define consistent reference points (machine origin, installation surface).
  • Separate static vs. functional machine components.

    • 2. Structuring

  • Apply standardized component and layer logic.
  • Define machine type classes and map models to library categories.
  • Establish installation surfaces, safety zones, and maintenance areas.

    • 3. Metadata Enrichment

  • Add technical metadata such as:Dimensions, weightsFloor load, crane load, media consumptionElectrical/air/cooling connectionsSafety and maintenance distancesOptional: noise emission, machine category
  • Maintain consistent naming conventions and unit systems.
  • Structure data for algorithmic evaluation (JSON/tables).

    • 4. Quality Assurance

  • Validate model completeness and parameter plausibility.
  • Perform performance checks (polycount, loading time).
  • Ensure perfect alignment between geometry and metadata.

    • 5. Integration & Collaboration

  • Deliver models ready for integration into the Virtual Factory platform.
  • Work iteratively with the factorymaker technical team.
  • Make adjustments based on platform review and validation.
  • Follow clear modeling guidelines and standards.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications

    Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise with CAD systems.
  • Experience with machine and equipment models and production layouts.
  • Proficiency in handling formats: STEP, OBJ, PLY.
  • Ability to simplify models for performance‑optimized 3D use.
  • Good understanding of:Machine installation principlesFloor/crane loadsSafety and maintenance zones
  • Familiarity with data modeling (parameter logic, structured metadata).

    • Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Basic experience with Blender or similar tools for mesh simplification.
  • Understanding of JSON or tabular data formats.
  • Basic knowledge of production processes and industrial engineering.

  • Senior-level professional preferred

  • Highly structured and systematic working style.
  • Comfortable working in iterative, feedback-driven development cycles.
