Informatica Lead

Note : IDMC working experience is required and inform the candidate that this will be hands-on coding work.

Role Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Informatica Lead to lead the Power Exchange to Informatica IDMC migration initiative. The architect will assess existing Power Exchange CDC implementations with Oracle, design equivalent or optimized solutions in Informatica IDMC (Cloud Data Integration, Cloud Mass Ingestion, and Cloud Application Integration), and drive end-to-end implementation including POC, documentation, and mentoring delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Current-State Assessment & Gap Analysis
  • Perform detailed analysis of existing Power Exchange CDC configuration with Oracle.
  • Identify data extraction, transformation, and load patterns, dependencies, and performance metrics.
  • Document architecture gaps and opportunities for modernization within IDMC.

2. Target-State Design & Solution Architecture

• Design the target-state IDMC architecture leveraging:
• Cloud Mass Ingestion (CMI DB) for CDC and bulk ingestion.
• Cloud Data Integration (CDI) for data transformation, orchestration, and integration pipelines.
• Cloud Application Integration (CAI) for process integration and event-driven workflows.
• Define configuration parameters, connectivity details, and orchestration logic between IDMC services and Oracle.
• Develop architecture diagrams, configuration templates, and security/compliance recommendations.

3. Proof of Concept (POC) & Implementation

• Plan and execute POC to validate CDC, performance, and functional parity between PowerExchange and IDMC.
• Collaborate with Informatica and Oracle admin teams for environment setup, agent configuration, and connectivity.
• Oversee end-to-end migration, including deployment, testing, and performance tuning.
• Ensure compliance with clinet's delivery standards and data governance guidelines.

4. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Prepare comprehensive documentation of analysis findings, design decisions, and configuration steps.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IDMC platform operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct workshops and handover sessions for development and operations teams.

5. Technical Leadership & Mentoring

• Provide architectural direction and mentoring to data engineers, ETL developers, and administrators.
• Review technical deliverables to ensure adherence to solution design and best practices.
• Lead client discussions, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Required Skills & Experience

• • 10+ years of experience in Informatica data integration technologies, including PowerExchange, PowerCenter, and IDMC.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • PowerExchange CDC with Oracle configuration, logs, extraction groups, and monitoring.
    • IDMC Services: CMI DB, CDI, and CAI.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database internals, MS SQL Server, and CDC mechanisms.
  • Experience in data migration, replication, and real-time streaming.
  • Working knowledge of file formats Parquet, CSV, JSON, and integration into data pipelines.
  • Proven ability to conduct POCs, performance optimization, and solution validation.
  • Excellent skills in architecture documentation, data flow design, and presentation.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• • Informatica Certified Professional IDMC, CDI, or PowerCenter.
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for IDMC deployment.
  • Knowledge of Data Quality (IDQ) and Data Governance within IDMC ecosystem.
  • Prior experience in migration or modernization projects from on-premises to cloud
