Description GSPANN is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support enterprise Windows and Linux infrastructure environments. The role focuses on server administration, virtualization, identity management, and automation to ensure stable and secure IT operations.Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux – RHEL) environments. Manage Active Directory (AD) users and groups, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD / Entra ID) identities, and application integrations. Administer VMware ESXi and vCenter, manage High Availability / Distributed Resource Scheduler (HA/DRS) clusters, and perform virtual machine provisioning and migrations, including Physical-to-Virtual (P2V), Virtual-to-Virtual (V2V), and Virtual-to-Physical (V2P). Manage datastores, VMkernel and vMotion configurations, and monitor ESXi hardware, storage, and network alerts. Perform backup, restore, and retention management using NetBackup and support storage operations on NetApp platforms. Develop automation using PowerShell scripts and Ansible playbooks to streamline daily operations, Linux VM provisioning, patching, and configuration management. Troubleshoot operating system, virtual machine, and application performance issues, and support server provisioning and upgrade activities. Configure Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller / Integrated Lights-Out (iDRAC / iLO) for hardware management and follow ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management processes. Monitor infrastructure alerts, provide updates during incident bridge calls, and ensure adherence to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Coordinate firmware and hardware patching activities and manage vendor escalations when required. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, installation guides, environment documentation, and operational checklists. Collaborate with DevOps, Network, Security, and Application teams to support day-to-day infrastructure operations. 4-5 years of hands-on experience managing Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) environments. Strong expertise in server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management. Proven experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, AD Connect, GPOs, and identity integrations. Hands-on expertise administering VMware vCenter and ESXi, managing HA/DRS clusters, templates, and VM migrations. Solid understanding of Storage Area Network / Network Attached Storage (SAN / NAS), NetApp storage, and NetBackup solutions. Experience supporting Microsoft 365 (M365 / O365) services, Internet Information Services (IIS), and telephony integrations. Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and Ansible. Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Domain Name System / Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DNS / DHCP), DDI, jump servers, and gap servers. Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools and performance troubleshooting techniques. Proven ability to troubleshoot OS, VM, and application issues and drive incident resolution. Experience coordinating infrastructure changes, patching, and vendor engagements. Strong documentation discipline with experience maintaining SOPs, runbooks, and operational guides. Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as Ivanti is an added advantage. Industry certifications in Microsoft, VMware, or NetApp are preferred.
