1. Purpose of the Role
The Server Specialist in Industrial IT operates in a high-tech environment as part of a dynamic team, focusing on the development and maintenance of a stable and secure server infrastructure. The role involves close collaboration with developers to drive continuous improvement and leverage technologies such as Windows Server (2016–2025), Linux Red Hat, and Open Shift for GPU and AI workloads.
The server landscape consists of approximately 3,000 servers, many virtualized or clustered, supported by redundant backup and storage systems across multiple data centers and managed by a specialized team.
