Infrastructure Lead

Job Description

This role is responsible for managing and supporting ITinfrastructure with a strong focus on virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), backup
and recovery systems, Azure cloud services, systems monitoring (SolarWinds),
and enterprise storage (NetApp). The ideal candidate will ensure system
reliability, availability, and performance across on-premises and cloud
environments.

 IT Operations & Infrastructure Support:

 Maintain day-to-day IT operations and ensure availability of
business-critical systems.

 Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and infrastructure
issues.

 Monitor system performance and proactively identify
potential issues.

 Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V):

 Manage and maintain VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V
environments.

 Perform virtual machine provisioning, migrations, and
resource optimization.

 Ensure high availability and disaster recovery
configurations are in place.

 Cloud Services (Azure):

 Deploy, manage, and support Azure resources including VMs,
storage, networking, and backups.

 Work with Azure Active Directory, Azure Monitor, and related
services.

 Implement cost optimization and security best practices in
cloud environments.

Requirements

Backup & Recovery:

 Administer enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam,
Commvault, or similar).

 Manage backup schedules, perform recovery testing, and
ensure data protection compliance.

 Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot failures promptly.

Monitoring (SolarWinds):

 Configure and maintain SolarWinds monitoring tools.

 Create and manage dashboards, alerts, and reports.

 Provide proactive support and performance tuning based on
monitoring insights.

Storage Management (NetApp):

 Maintain and administer NetApp storage systems (ONTAP,
SnapMirror, SnapVault, etc.).

 Allocate and manage LUNs, volumes, and shares.

 Monitor storage health, capacity, and performance.

Soft Skills:
 Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

 Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects
simultaneously.

 Excellent communication and documentation skills.

 Team player with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
