Infrastructure Networking and Cloud Engineer

Role description/ tasks:

• Fundamental Azure Cloud knowledge incl. operating of virtual machines and backup & restore
• Windows and Linux OS Administration incl. update management
• Active Directory & Entra ID Administration
• Monitoring & Alerting
• Administration of international and complex network infrastructures based on Fortinet Firewalls, Meraki Switches/Access points as well as SDN technologies in Azure
• Configure, deploy, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and wireless access points, in multi-vendor environments (Cisco - Meraki, Fortinet, Zscaler).
• Performing regular updates, patching and certificate management for network devices to ensure business continuity
• Diagnose and resolve complex LAN/WAN/Firewall and wireless issues promptly.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for network incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues related to firewalls and VPNs.
• Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), including subnets, peering, and network security groups (NSGs).
• Operating of customer VPN connections based on SSL VPN
• Management of client VPN platforms based on Fortinet and Zscaler

Qualifications/Skills:

Must haves:

• Good communication skills and customer oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of an international team
• Good knowledge of supported technologies: Azure Compute, Storage, Networking services, AAD
• Cisco Meraki: Proficient in configuring and managing Meraki firewalls, switches, wireless APs, and SD-WAN through the Meraki Dashboard.
• Fortinet: Strong experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
• Zscaler: Expertise in configuring Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) for secure cloud-based connectivity.
• AD knowledge (PKI, AD, DHCP, DNS, File&Print)

Nice-to-haves:

• Azure Networking: Skilled in managing Azure VNets, VPN Gateways, Azure Firewall, Load Balancers, and monitoring tools like Network Watcher.
• AWS experience
• Knowledge in different scripting technologies e.g. cscript / vbscript / powershell (Windows)
• ITIL awareness and Certification
