**Your role and responsibilities**
* An Infrastructure Specialist for Cloud Platforms is a highly skilled professional responsible for managing and implementing infrastructure solutions across various cloud environments according to established designs. This role ensures that infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure. The specialist has deep proficiency in cloud services from providers such as Oracle Cloud, Nutanix Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, and others, along with expertise in Linux and VMware environments.
* Responsibilities include setting up, configuring, and managing virtual machines, storage solutions, networking, and databases across different cloud platforms to effectively support business applications. The specialist implements and oversees essential cloud resources such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Load Balancers, and Cloud Storage solutions to ensure smooth operations. They continuously monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations to ensure reliable performance.
* The specialist applies and enforces security measures to ensure cloud infrastructure complies with organizational policies and industry regulations. They optimize cloud costs by right-sizing resources, developing cost-effective solutions, and monitoring usage patterns. Collaboration with IT teams is key to implementing and integrating cloud infrastructure solutions based on existing designs.
* Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), is required. The specialist should be skilled in using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and native cloud automation services to automate and streamline processes. Experience with cloud migration projects, including implementation and execution, is also necessary. Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters across various cloud environments is crucial for effective container orchestration and scaling.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* 8 -10 years of experience in the telecommunications field in managing and deployment of mid to large enterprise networks.
* Experiencing with networking and associated protocols including TCP/UDP, DMVPN, OSPF, BGP, DNS, SNMP, and other internet associated protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
* Knowledge in multiple architectural domains and network design to include routing, switching, Datacenters and security.
* Good understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware along with good understanding on NSX/SDN administration.
* Knowledge in CISCO Switches (Cisco Catalyst), Firewall (Checkpoint, SonicWall, FortiGate), Transceiver, PROXY, Router, DNS, VPN, WAF and IPS etc.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Knowledge of LAN, WAN and Data Centre network architectures, enterprise design and industry standards relevant to data communications / networking and computing.
* Knowledge of setting up SDN and VSX and supporting the same.
* Professional certification in CISSP, CCIE, CCNA, or CCNP are advantageous and possess SonicWALL Related Certification will be an added advantage.
