Infrastructure & Technology Procurement Mfg Engineer for DS8K product GUADALAJARA, MX

The Procurement Manufacturing Engineer provides support to supplier manufacturing line to assure production process according to IBM standards.

The PME role interacts between Development and supplier Engineering/Manufacturing, to support the introduction of new products and follow up the EC’s implementation at supplier manufacturing line for new/products already in production.

Monitors supplier Quality performance and drives actions.

Your role and responsibilities

a) Quality

• Get fully involved in Quality/Technical interlocks to monitor product yields defined by IBM, follow up Corrective Actions (8D’s).
• Drive Corrective Actions (8Ds) from field performance quality issues and follow up open Pre-stop/Stop ship.
• Address 2nd tier supplier quality issues to the appropriate commodity PQE and follow up CA (8Ds).
