Metrology Coordinator
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and specialized Metrology to lead metrology and quality assurance operations in a precision-driven manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with automotive standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering.
- Advanced English proficiency (essential)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in metrology within the automotive or metal-mechanic sector.
- Strong command of GD&T, CMM operation, and statistical analysis tools.
- Experience managing quality systems and laboratory operations.
- Familiarity with customer-specific standards from major automotive OEMs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead specialized metrology activities, including evaluation and dimensional analysis.
- Oversee calibration of high-precision instruments such as gauge blocks, dial indicators, vernier calipers, and comparators.
- Manage metrology, control device calibration, and metallographic evaluation laboratories.
- Coordinate and validate measurement system analysis (MSA) and ensure statistical robustness.
- Implement and maintain quality management systems aligned with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements
- Support production and engineering teams with GD&T expertise and dimensional troubleshooting.
- Apply deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, including heat treatment, machining, grinding, assembly, and painting.
- Interface with OEM clients to meet technical and quality expectations.
- Utilize automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance and readiness.
