ROLE SUMMARY
Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) leverages data to deliver insights that guide Pfizer’s most critical business decisions. With global expertise in data science, engineering, market research, and consulting, GCA transforms data into actionable insights that impact patients and advance Pfizer as a data-driven organization.
IIS serves as a key analytics and strategic partner to the US SCBU Commercial Division. The Associate, Reporting & Insights supports the entire IIS organization through the development and delivery of KPI dashboards and standard reports. The Associate will also support delivery and deployment of CEP reporting platforms (e.g. SMART, etc.). These deliverables and platforms are foundational to the day-to-day monitoring of business performance by IIS, Marketing, and Sales.
The Associate provides strategic, functional, and operational support to design, implement, and deliver standard reports and CEP dashboards. They will also partner across IIS, marketing, and sales to interpret KPIs in the context of broader commercial and CEP performance. The Associate will partner closely with the Director, Data Strategy & Management within IIS to deliver these solutions. Success requires adaptability, collaboration, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will have an on-site Manager but will take primary day-to-day direction from their respective Directors in the US-based SCBU IIS Team. These colleagues will participate as full-time members of broader Specialty Care IIS-CEP Team. Their primary responsibilities will focus on KPI dashboards and standard reports.
Therapeutic Area/Brand Platform Reporting
Develop & deliver KPI dashboards and standard reports to support key Specialty TA/brands in partnership with IIS, Marketing, and Sales LeadersLeverage reports/dashboards to identify opportunities and gaps in strategy/ tactical executionSupport new and ongoing projects to ensure on-time completion within budget and successful deploymentParticipate and/or lead cross-functional teams to design and implement reporting solutions fit for purpose to the Therapeutic Area of productParticipate and/or lead User Acceptance Testing of solutionsProactively identify opportunities to bring forward potential solutions to unmet strategic needs across IIS & Specialty Care and drive innovation in our go-to-market model (structure, roles, technology, and/or capabilities)IIS-CEP Reporting Platforms - support on-going development of IIS-CEP platforms (e.g. SMART) in the following areas:
Partner with business stakeholders and end users to gather requirements and ensure desired user experience (Ux)Maintain and/or update request tracker(s), platform change management, and task prioritizationDocument business requirements & processes to ensure solutions delivered meet customer meets/exceeds expectationsAssist in training of new usersAssist with diagnosis and resolution of bugs and issues; raise to the relevant support teams and track resolutionParticipate and/or lead User Acceptance TestingAssist in maintenance of library reports across different content groupsAssist in maintenance of SMART related documentation (Job Aids, Training materials)Create reports to assist with ad-hoc requirements using source data (from snowflake) or through smart discovery templatesProactively identify opportunities to bring forward potential solutions to unmet needs in CEP reporting.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) majors with quantitative emphasis such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, EngineeringFluent in English, both written and verbalAnalytics, statistics and/or database knowledge and experience (using tools, applications, platforms, etc.)Understanding of: SQL, Python, R, or similar/other object-oriented programming languagesExperience with business intelligence, analytics, reporting, and data transformation.Excellent analytical skills, including strategic thinking, ability to frame problems and opportunities using supporting data, problem solving and measuring impact.Ability to synthesize data into a meaningful ‘so what’ to inform strategic recommendations for brand tactics.Capable of describing relevant caveats in data or in a model and how they relate to business questionGood communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, including use of powerpoint, with the ability to translate complex data into concise insights for diverse audiences.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentResults-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Passion for innovation and excellence in achieving results PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Recent Healthcare Life Sciences (pharma preferred) and ecosystem professional industry experience. Commercial/marketing experience is a plus.Experience in management of secondary data. Knowledge of pharma datasets such as IQVIAUnderstands quantitative and qualitative research methodologiesAbility to partner with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Sales, Operations) to execute brand tacticsUnderstanding of data visualization tools and experience designing and building complex dashboards, including but not limited to Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik and similar.NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
