Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Integration Architect  with deep hands-on expertise in MuleSoft , Workato , and modern AI-driven agentic automation frameworks . This individual will be responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering scalable, secure, and reliable integrations across enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate is a strong integration technologist who can design API-led connectivity , build enterprise orchestration frameworks , and lead the organization through a future transformation from MuleSoft to Workato  while embedding LLM-powered automation into workflows.

This role requires architectural leadership, technical depth, and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams across IT, Product, Security, and Business Systems.

In this role you will...

Integration Architecture & Design

  • Architect end-to-end integration solutions using API-led , event-driven , and iPaaS-based
  • Define and maintain canonical data models , integration of blueprints, reference architectures, and reusable frameworks.
  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations across enterprise systems (GTM, Finance, HR, Support, ERP, Data platforms).
  • Lead architectural decisions for evolving from MuleSoft  to Workato , including migration strategy, coexistence model, and impact assessment.

    • MuleSoft & Workato Development

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy complex integrations using MuleSoft Any point Platform  and/or Workato .
  • Configure and operationalize Workato Automation HQ  (governance, recipes, connections, lifecycle standards).
  • Build reusable APIs, connectors, transformations, orchestrations, and error-handling frameworks.
  • Implement advanced patterns including event streaming , batch processing , webhooks , and asynchronous orchestration .

    • Agentic & AI-Driven Automation

  • Architect and implement autonomous, AI-powered agents  to enable multi-step reasoning, decision-making, and workflow automation.
  • Integrate LLM-based orchestration  (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, etc.) into integration pipelines for intelligent workflow execution.
  • Build self-healing , context-aware , and dynamic  workflows leveraging AI-driven event analysis and exception handling.

    • Security, Governance & Reliability

  • Ensure integrations meet enterprise standards for security , governance , compliance , and data privacy .
  • Apply strong knowledge of OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS , secrets management, and API security best practices.
  • Establish lifecycle governance frameworks for APIs, recipes, versioning, monitoring, and access control.
  • Optimize system performance, latency, throughput, and platform reliability across MuleSoft/Workato landscapes.

    • Observability, CI/CD & Operations

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and analytics using APM, distributed tracing, and observability best practices.
  • Design CI/CD pipelines and branching strategies for integration deployments (Git-based workflows, automated testing, DevOps maturity).
  • Diagnose and resolve complex integration issues across environments.

    • Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and oversight to developers and integration engineers.
  • Drive Agile execution of integration programs, ensuring predictable delivery and high standards of engineering quality.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define integration roadmaps, requirements, and success criteria.

    • You’ve got what it takes if you have…

  • 10+ years  of hands-on experience in integration architecture, distributed systems, or enterprise solution design.
  • Deep expertise in MuleSoft  (APIs, flows, RAML, DataWeave, Anypoint Runtime, CloudHub, Anypoint Studio).
  • Strong hands-on Workato experience  — recipes, connections, agents, Automation HQ, governance, environment structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute migration strategies  from MuleSoft to Workato or similar iPaaS transitions.
  • Expert-level understanding of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, webhooks, event streaming (Kafka), and EDA patterns .
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols  including OAuth, SAML, JWT, SSL/TLS, and secrets management.
  • Experience architecting AI-driven or agentic automation , including LLM integration into workflows.
  • Strong command of CI/CD pipelines , automated testing, branching strategies, and DevOps tooling.
  • Proven ability to lead architecture discussions, influence senior stakeholders, and drive integration strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and enterprise-scale SDLC processes.

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience with enterprise applications such as Oracle E-Business Suite , Oracle Fusion ERP , ServiceNow , Salesforce , CPQ platforms , or GTM systems .
  • Familiarity with data platforms including Snowflake , BigQuery, Redshift, or enterprise data lakes.
  • Certifications preferred:MuleSoft Integration Architect / Platform ArchitectWorkato Automation Pro / Workato Architect
  • Experience with service mesh , event hubs , and microservices architecture .
