Evaluates, selects and applies advanced design and technical methods, with responsibility for project assignments including programming, design development, production and coordination through tender documents which may be multiple, large or complex in scope.

Key Responsibilities

Design

• Interpret and evaluate client requirements and project objectives.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts.
• Lead and develop interior design elements within BIM environments.
• Research and analyze design requirements.
• Develop, prepare, and coordinate presentation materials with project teams.
• Apply advanced design principles including proportion, color, light, texture, and scale.
• Support firm and project goals related to design excellence, execution, and sustainability.

Technical

• Develop and produce detailed tender documentation and design details.
• Coordinate with consultants and engineers (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire & Life Safety).
• Perform programming and space planning analysis, including area calculations.
• Assist with technical and design coordination while adhering to schedules and budgets.
• Conduct site analysis, surveys, and existing-condition documentation.
• Prepare redline revisions, mock-up drawing packages, and review shop drawings.
• Participate in scope definition and effort estimates for new project proposals.
• Perform tasks in accordance with the Company Project Procedures Manual.

Management

• Maintain and organize project files, schedules, and workflows.
• Deliver work within defined project budgets and timelines.
• Manage multiple projects, delegate tasks, and prioritize workloads effectively.
• Coordinate closely with consultants and internal teams.
• Mentor junior staff and support team development.
• Contribute to team-building initiatives and continuous improvement of the Interior unit.
• Adapt quickly and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Requirements

Education

• Professional degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 6–10 years of professional experience with a strong focus on BIM-based projects.
• Proven experience across all project phases: programming, concept design, schematic design, detailed design, and tender documentation.
• Strong design and development portfolio.
• Demonstrated knowledge of interior design specifications, calculations, construction techniques, and international building codes.
• Experience coordinating mechanical, electrical, lighting, and acoustic systems.

Technology & Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit for design authoring, documentation, and project delivery.
• Strong BIM collaboration experience, including cloud-based coordination, consultant integration, and clash detection.
• Familiarity with real-time rendering, visualization workflows, and material management in BIM.
• Understanding of real-time visualization within BIM coordination and design reviews.
• Familiarity with BIM project setup and strategic planning.
• Experience with walkthroughs, panoramas, and design review tools is a plus.
• Exposure to computational design tools such as Dynamo and Rhino is an advantage.
• Strong verbal, written, and collaborative communication skills.
• LEED accreditation is a plus.
