Interior Designer job description involves creating functional, safe, and beautiful indoor spaces by collaborating with clients, conceptualizing designs, planning layouts, selecting materials/furnishings, managing budgets, and overseeing projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with building codes and aesthetic goals. Key duties include client consultation, sketching/3D modeling, sourcing products, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring projects meet client vision, budget, and regulatory standards. 

Key Responsibilities

Client Interaction: Understand client needs, goals, budget, and project vision through meetings and consultations.

Design Development: Conceptualize, sketch, and create detailed plans (floor plans, 3D renderings) using design software like AutoCAD or Revit.

Space Planning: Optimize space utilization for functionality, safety, and aesthetics.

Material Selection: Choose color schemes, finishes, furniture, lighting, and decor.

Project Management: Estimate costs, set timelines, prepare bid documents, and manage budgets.

Coordination: Work with architects, contractors, tradespeople (electricians, painters), and suppliers.

Compliance: Research and adhere to building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards (ADA).

Presentation: Develop mood boards and presentations to showcase design concepts to clients.

Site Visits: Conduct on-site visits to oversee installation and ensure design integrity.
