Job Title: Interior Designer (2 –5 Years Experience)

About the Role:

SDC is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Interior Designers with 2 to 5 years of professional experience to join our Mumbai-based design studio. The role involves working closely with the design team on concept development, design detailing, and project execution across various interior design projects. Candidates with exposure to retail design will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design concepts, spatial layouts, and schematic sketches based on project requirements
  • Convert conceptual sketches into detailed drawings and presentation-ready design documentation
  • Prepare material boards, finishes palettes, and mood boards aligned with the design intent
  • Produce detailed drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, suitable for execution
  • Coordinate and follow up with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure design accuracy and timely execution
  • Assist in material selection, specifications, and approvals
  • Ensure designs comply with client requirements, project briefs, and timelines
  • Support the team during site visits, coordination meetings, and execution stages as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field
  • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in interior design
  • Proficiency in design development, technical drawings, and detailing
  • Strong visualization and sketching skills
  • Experience in preparing material mood boards and design presentations
  • Good coordination and communication skills for working with consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, etc.) is preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in retail interior design projects
  • Exposure to end-to-end project execution
